Of course some homes are large enough but my point is they need sunshine and outdoors...I guess where I'm coming from is because I know some show breeders that special yorkies dont even let them touch grass or even the ground outside and even inside. I totally believe in letting them experience the joy of running and playing in the grass, chasing birds ect...makes for a well rounded and happy dog! Of course may not be possible but I'm not against a yorkie playing in the backyard...fencing is important and also if someone has a pool that the pool area is fenced so the dog can't get near the pool...case in point...my harvey's sire drowned because of no fenced off area around the pool...I know it was an accident but just like with kids better to have a fence than none at all...JMHO
