I was diagnosed with OVCA in 2001 after I had ignored all the symptoms and it wasn't until the tumor had gotten so large that I could actually feel it with my hands when touching my belly that I did anything about it. The first thing they did was an ultra sound and of course since it was as big as a house ...there was no denying it, but my CA-125 came back normal. It wasn't until after the surgery that we knew for sure that it was cancerous, so unfortunately the test is not a good marker for me.
