Chewy hated being groomed and fought it tooth and nail...He is an angel now. (except the nails...that's a fight to the death so I get them done at the vet)
I had to brush him every single day to teach him but he got better over time and the more he fought, the more I combed. (I use a metal comb) I think if you stop while they are fighting you they think they can always get you to stop!
Sadie is not as hard to groom so far. But she whines... it's pathetic and you would think she were in pain! She isn't. She has no knots so the comb slides right through her coat. It takes very little time. She is just a big baby!!!!
