All of mine have given me a hard time when they were little. I have never put them up on a table or anything to groom them. I just held them in my hand when they are small enough and when they got bigger I held them in my lap. When they get older, say close to a year, suddenly they decided they like getting brushed. I will have the brush in my hand and sit down next to them and just start brushing their backs. When the brush travels down their sides they flip over so I can brush their bellies. I think they would lay there most of the day and let me brush their bellies if I would do it. LOL
Tarawood: I had wooden handled pin brush the first one I had. They started chewing up the handle and I got one with a plastic handle and let them chew on the wooden one while I brushed them. It didn't totally stop them from trying to get away but it kept them busy for a little while. |
