In Canada we don' have the death penalty, but we live close enough to the boarder that we hear alot about it in the US and from what i've read you have a better chance of dying of natural causes on death row than being put to death because the process takes so long. I guess this is good in the event that you have been wrongfully accused...

although if you are Canadian and commit murder in a state that has capital punishment you are tried in that state... there is a Canadian man in texas right now on death row trying to get an appeal and wants his trial to come to Canada.
