I agree. There is no way I'd leave my dog overnight after a surgery if there was nobody there AWAKE watching. That would be like the staff leaving a human hospital at night and checking in every couple hours....not a good idea. If your vet office has someone there AWAKE the entire time then you might consider letting her stay. Then they can watch overnight. That being said, Ellie was spayed a couple months ago and her vet is open 24 hours. They release all spays the same day, which is fine. I decided to stay up all night with her just in case. Everything was fine.
