OH - I'm sick about this!!!!!! I didn't know they were coming to the Des Moines Iowa area until Suzy told me. And I allowed the business of December & a 10 day trip out of town to get the way of voicing my opinion.
This weekend I've been reading how to stop Petland & I just thought I better go & see when that thing is scheduled to open --
They opened Yesterday!!! URGGGGGGGGGG
I wish I could have been out there protesting at their grand opening.
No one has tried to stop it as far as I can tell. Not the people of West Des Moines, where it has opened in a very upscale area. The tV stations & newspapers haven't mentioned it.
I just checked the Des Moines Register website & all they did was say it was opening in a column they have about the comings & goings of local businesses.

How long before the newspaper is having to write stories about sick & dying puppies being purchased there??!! People need to be educated
