The potty pen is a GREAT idea!! We did that for Gus, but potty pen is on our covered front porch rather then in the yard..(makes it much easier for the late (before bedtime) potty times...He has done so well, I'd say he is 99.9% trained..(he'll be 7 months on the 26 of this month)we do have a couple of pee pads by the front door just in case WE screw up and don't read his signal to want to go out in the potty pen..once in awhile he might miss the pad, but seldom...Its been a life saver for us especially with the winters in Wisconsin!!
