every time i pluck my girls hairs out of her ears, she immediately gets an infection. When her ears bother her- she pants a lot and she already has ct so any addtional panting makes her very bad. WE have a little one with severe ct. I decided to let the hair grow and instead i use ear cleaner once a week and i check them every day or so. a super tiny piece of wax could have her scratching and digging in her ear for days. we already had her tested and no signs of infection- vet just said to get the hair out. i haven't plucked any hair and for the last 3 mos she has been fine. when i pluck the hair out we have problems. since i have been cleaning once a week with the ear cleaner it helps a lot.
