I worked at a vet's office for four years. I'm sure she copied down word for word any conversation that she viewed as arguementative. The vet I worked for used to have a triangle code. One triangle on the right side of the card for an owner that was slightly difficult...up to four triangles for some that refused to pay for services after rendered.

I often didn't agree with the reason for the triangle, as I have been on both sides. As a pet owner and forced consumer (no choice but to use a Vet for many things) I have often taken issue with the costs and choices of some items and treatments there.

After four years and many experiences, (and I truly enjoyed it, as well as my fellow techs and most of the Vets) I left.

I don't use that vet for my dogs. I actually chose one that volunteered his time to get our shelter up and running. He's great, up front, and honest.
