That happens to us a lot at Petco and Petsmart. The last time, I actually asked what they were thinking (in a nice way). She told me she had been a breeder for 17 years!
I very nicely pointed out that if that was true, she should have noticed that while he's my baby and precious to me, and I think he's very handsome....a) he's 7.5 lbs. at 10 months b.)he's roach back c.)he's NEUTERED! lol!
Do some people think these stores are like singles bars or something?
