Some Yorkies grow quickly and then slow down early...others grow slow but steady until they are about a year old. My Yorkie boys stopped growing between 6 and 7 months...I now have 2 Biewer girls that are 4 months and seem to have slowed down in their growth a little.

If you want the ears to stand you'll have to shave both sides of the ear from the top to the bottom to get all of the weight off of the ear...especially if his ears are thick and heavy. I've been taping my girls' ears and it is helping but they go up and down. Do you know how to tape correctly? There are several ways but there are some websites with pictures that show the correct way to tape. You have to be sure you get support at the bend in the ear...this is where the cartiledge needs to harden so they will stand.
