Here's a story for ya...it didn't involve my dog, but I had something similar happen. When my daughter was a newborn, my mom was visiting from out of state so we took my then 6 week old baby to Babies R Us. I was carrying my baby instead of putting her in the stroller....I always wanted her closest to me. Anyway,I had these two VERY VERY scary looking women approach me. They both were EXTREMELY dirty and one acted like she was on something!!! She said that she was the mother-in-law and the other lady was her suppose to be her daughter-in-law....they looked like the exact same age. They both got right in my face and the one that acted like she was on something said, "That's a gorgeous baby...let me hold her!". Ummm, I was shocked so I politely said that she would cry...this lady went on to say,"That's ok,just give her to...I'm going to hold her!" As she is actually reaching for my baby!!! My mom then walked up and the ladies backed away and then said oh well,nevermind. EEK!!!!! You can just never be too careful nowadays. Sad but true.

That IS just creepy! I can't believe some people just think its OK to touch/hold/grab other's babies - whether they are skinbabies or furbabies.
