The fact is that responsible breeders use smaller males all the time to get the smaller yorkies which are so desired. Most people would agree that it is not responsible to breed a small female (under 5 lbs), but I have never heard anyone say it was irresponsible to breed a small male.

And we all know there is no AKC classification for a teacup yorkie, but the term is used most often when referring to a dog who is below the breed standard in weight as an adult. It is a common way to refer to size in a way that everyone can relate too, that's all. No one is using the term "teacup" to imply that AKC has added that classification. This owner only used the term once and it was in reference to the dog's size. She never called him a "purebred teacup yorkie" as you implied. I did not find the way she described him throughout the thread to be offensive.

I think she deserves to get what the dog is worth when she sells him and she sounded like she was attempting to explain her rationale for the price and most breeders will tell you that the smaller dogs, whether used as a stud or simply a neutered pet, are more valuable than the breed standard or larger because people want small. I see nothing wrong with that as long as they are healthy.

I don't see where anyone was condoning irresponsible breeding habits in my opinion.
