as I read through the thread again a question of stud pricing expanded to a lecture or inquest...to breed or not to breed!
I must say Ive been guilty as well of giving this same lecture I am sure many times here but after reading my past comments I had to reflect, how would I have felt getting a lecture when I had merely asked a simple question, I imagined how I felt when I started, lost, lonely, scared to death but determined and prepared.
many of us tend to assume when protential breeders ask questions (very basic ones at that) if we can stun them, make them think then perhaps we can desuade them from breeding their precious little gal or guy.
funny thing is most are going to do what they want no matter what you or I say! You must give them the respect they are asking questions and seeking answers instead of running blind!

thank you...thats what we've been trying to say.i was unaware of such things as dog VD.these are our first pure breed dogs/house dogs.we want to do the best we can to make sure they stay healthy and happy,and they do.and as far as the health of the male..the male is ours and visits the vet so frequently they know him quite well...he is very healthy and happy.his papers do not show any sign of Ch's in his blood, but that doesnt mean everything if anything at all.both our male and female or just pets,a part of our family.the only reason we'r interested in breeding them is b/c our family and friends want puppys and b/c we keep hearing how cute everyone thinks our male is and that they would like to use him for studding.we just had a few questions so that we wouldnt go into this blindly and we could avoid any mistakes.we appreciate ur remarks,both good and bad...but we will breed them either way...if you want to help the breed,help us...dont just bust our balls....thank you.
