My children are now 20 & 18 and we always had small dogs in the house since they were 2 yrs old. My children were also taught how to behave around a small dogs, But the majority of parents these days are not like that.. I was at a persons house the other day who just adopted a dog from the humane society, Their 3 year old was putting his finger in the dogs rectum, I kepp saying something like "you shouldn't do that", and the mother would tell him to stop, but she NEVER really stopped him.. To bad you aren't closer, I would sell you one of my boys.. Only becasue you seem like a very put together person, who has done her homework..
