Perhaps another way you can approach this....

You are the parent, but it sounds like you have a wonderfully willful child on your hands too. And balancing setting rules, boundaries, and limitations (sound like Cesar, huh?) on your children while not alienating them completely is hard.

She does care about Bella. I mean her crying at least moved her to try to do something kind (although very dangerous and irresponsible). She didn't get angry and kick the kennel. So maybe start there on a good note. When our babies are hurting, crying, sad, etc., we want to reach out to them, but even when it goes against what we "want" to do, we have to do the responsible thing and "avoid" negative consequences. Perhaps there are baby stories about her that you can share. I'm sure that her cries broke your heart at different times, but because of safety issues or training issues or something else, you had to do something other than your first desire (like putting the baby in bed with you if your bed was not a safe place for a baby). Good luck. I know that preserving the relationship with your daughter is important just as the safety of Bella is.
