There is nothing wrong with wanting to meet your furbut's new family. I dont think thats being paranoid, that is being careful and you are doing what you have to do!
About flying...at this point it just isnt an option, it isnt the cost at all, its the time it takes for me to do this. I dont fly well at all and that length of flight, there and back, will nearly kill me, lol
