 Potty Question - I guess ??
I just got our Yorkie on Friday evening--she is almost 4 years old. Anyways, we rescued from what we believe was a puppy mill and she was only basically used for breeding and such. Anyways, she is soo adapting and know that she has a great family and love now...
What Im wondering about is her potty-training. I've been taking her out every 4-5 hours or so and she's been doing really good and has only had 1 accident out of the times we've had her. She does her business outside like she's suppose to and all... but she doesn't let me *know* she has to go out. Only does it when I take her out.
The *breeder* told me she was never really trained but always used the paper area they had, and went out the doggie door they had for their fenced in area. Now, she knows she is suppose to potty outside like I said, and we reward and praise her lots like she's suppose to get, so that's not a problem! I just don't know how to get her to try to tell me she has to go out..
maybe Im just being inpatient though, its only been 3 days!
