Well- after about 20 minutes, the vet came in and had Gabby's chart and was reading what looked like alot of handwriting. He said-"you know when you come in with an attitude like this, I have to tell you- do you want us to give away the place?"He went on to explain that at Gabby's last visit when she had a "reaction" to the Lepto- Yes, I would be charged for him to see her. He said 'my doctor gave me a staff infection and he charged me 65 thousand dollars to get rid of his mistake!"
What he was referring to was- Gabby had a large painful lump where she got the shot and I had called to complain and that I wanted her seen by someone(I was worried about her)and that I shouldn't be charged for it. Apparently the girl that took my call that day wrote a ton of stuff in Gabby's chart about me. I called later that day to cancel seeing him because I called my breeder and she explained this was normal given that Gabby is so small. We've always gotten along with this vet, and I'm so sorry now that I called that day and said anything at all to the girl-I wasn't nasty to her-just insistent that something was wrong with my dog. I'm going to keep going to him- but I wonder--anyone else ever have trouble with their vet offices?

I am so sorry that you were treated like that!!How rude and unprofessional of him! I do not think that you have an attitude problem when you are worried about the health of your pet. You asked that they check Gabby's lump that was caused by vaccination that they gave her, I can see were you would not think that they should charge you, as some places do not charge for a follow up appointment ( like when you have to go back in and get stichs taken out) I would not feel comfy to go back to this place regardless of how they were with you in the past. I think you use my mother's x vet if I am not mistaken, we had talked about this before we got our furbabies before. She had simular problems few years back and switch vets ASAP. She was so glad to find her new vet and has never had any problems with her. I was thinking of using her myself but I found my own after doing my own search.

If you want ,you can e mail me, call, or PM me and I can give you the prices that I have had to pay with the vet I am using, He is great with Jeter and he makes over him at his appointments letting Jeter lick his face even! Also he has split up Jeters shots so that he will be less likely to have reactions, and he did not give the Lepto vaccine, some yorkie breeders will have in their contracts that they advise against this vaccine and I voiced a concern and he said that it was not needed.
