the problem is Sadie over ate Chewy's food...(Chewy is an adult yorkie) We had to rush her to the er vet because her tummy was SOOOOO BIG! They thought she had bloat. When a dog gets bloat their stomach can flip or twist inside. It can aslo sprit or rupture!!!!
They most times die when this happens. She had to have exrays, an ultrasound, and blood work. She wound up ok but it was horrible because a normal big dog would just not eat for 12 hours or so. But you can't do that with a yorkie. So we had to keep feeding her even though she was so full!!!! A 1/4 teaspoon or wet food every hour!!!! Then the food she had to use constipated her soooo she was eating and not pooping!!!! Her belly felt like a blown up balloon!!! she seems to be going poop more and now her belly feels better. Free feeding her the other day made her tummy feel rather big again!!! So i think she is eating more then she should be. The vet told me her stomach was the size of a walnut! Can this be true?
