WE sent one off to UCSB and two years later the next at UC Berkeley. When my husband took the one to Berkeley, he almost made him get back in the car. It was bad. I don't think it started getting easier till after they graduated. The third son went to school in San Diego, but he got married first, so it wasn't too bad, except boy was the house ever empty and I was so lost I didn't know what to do with myself. When you raise 6 sons and they are all gone, you have to get acquainted with your ownself. I didn't know what I liked doing, eating or anything. It's been 10 years since all my sons left the nest and I still have lonely days, wanting them all back again! |
