i read that spraying water isn't the best way to deter a behaviour because you need to be constant for it to work which means constantly walking around with the bottle and making sure you squirt him every time he does what you dont' like... also when Layla would bite too hard i'd yelp like it was hurting me.. get up and ignore her for a few minutes.. she HATES being ignored... worked very well!
