  Are you sure you trust your vet?  They could be the best in the world but usually it is not good when they work out of their house because how much equiptment can they really have there?  Do they use the best anesthesia (isoflourine or sevoflourine)?  They have gas machines in their house with a scavenger system to push the toxins outside? 
They may be there all night but are they awake?
