That is very sad about Sweetpea and I don't think any dog should be left alone after surgery. I think that should be considered negligent in the veterinanary community. They wouldn't leave a human alone after surgery like that.
I am so sorry Chelsie is having a difficult time after her shurgery too. I have little yorkies so I worry all the time that one of them may develop this condition. I hope for a speedy and full recovery for her.
The news shared about the inventions and new advances in this area sounds hopeful too.
