Wow, I've never felt that nervous with Sugar. That does sound rough. I got Sugar at 18 months and he wasn't quite 3 pounds. I was used to watching where I step from our other 2 yorkies and other than not allowing him to jump off of furniture, I see no difference in his care than my 9 pounder.

edit to add- actually my 9 pounder has LP and SHOULDN'T be jumping off furniture either- just can't always catch her in time. Sugar can't jump up so it's actually easier.
