Snickers update Pleased to hear this little angel is improving. Did the first vet put her on any medication for infection from her teeth? Infected teeth can kill a dog so it is important that she be put on antibiotics ASAP and then have a complete dental workup done. There is something seriously wrong with this little one and she needs medical attention NOW. Did the vet do any x-rays of her legs? It is quite possible that she suffered a head injury however the vet should have done x-rays to rule out skull fracture etc.
You can't just leave her to get better on her own she needs to be monitored by a vet who knows what he/she is doing. By leaving her to recover on her own you may well be sentencing her to a life of deformity.
Has it occurred to you that your neighbours aren't asking for her back because they are aware of the amount of $ it is going to cost to bring this little darling back to health.
Take a yorkie rescue is never easy and almost always results in extensive medical bills. I applaud your efforts to save these little furbabies but you must also be prepared to provide the kind of care they need. I'm sure if you were to contact a yorkie rescue group in your area they would be able to assist you in getting the care the dog needs as well as helping save the other dog.
Good luck. |
