My future in-laws are the same. They have an outside dog but never even dreamed of having a dog in the house. Lucky for me, I've got two! Since I just got KaCee, I haven't had to take her there yet but A.J has gone to visit several times. The very first time I stayed there with A.J, they made him sleep in the garage!
The poor little guy barked all night long and of course, they kept making comments about his bark, and will he ever stop, etc! I couldn't believe it! Of course he was barking, he was in the garage! Then, they expected him to just lay beside me the whole time. All A.J wanted to do was explore! MIL actually said to me that her days of having a messy house are over! All that came to mind, was hmm..her grandchildren are gonna love visiting her
