Pixie had Giardia when I received her, showed up in her vet exam poop sample. She was smaller at 4 months, (4.5 lbs. now, 5 yrs.) so a dose of medication was prescribed for her weight, took a long time to get rid of it. She never showed any symptons in her normal looking poop. Afterwards, just dropped of a poop sample at the vets to check. I can't remember how often we had to test it. I do remember that every new puppy in the waiting room had it. I met the same people dropping of poop for testing. Lily will be fine.
