I heard of several small dogs that live to be close to 20 years in age. My dad's cousin has had several malteses that lived to be 18 and 19 years old and I've seen several toy breeds that were 16-18 years old at the grooming shop I worked at. I always tell Lacy she has to live to be at least 20
