I love the holidays! I start decorating from halloween all the way to easter. Then I am happy for a break and summertime to come. At our old house halloween was an adventure - there was no reason to close your door, and when I took the kids around - we grown-ups would chat at the end of the sidewalks. We had a circular neighborhood of about four blocks - almost everyone was out and giving candy. We moved last year and are not on a halloween line - sure saves on candy and my kids are too big to trick-or-treat. But memories are forever and I know my kids can remember halloween as the same great fun as I do from my childhood. |
