I am sorry for this next bit and I don't mean to be insulting, but as a breeder who spent years researching bloodlines and every last thing I could find about the breed itself...before beginning, I am disturbed by the lack of information you seem to possess about what you are doing. Just because you have two unaltered dogs, doesn't mean you should be breeding them. Have you checked into the health history of the preceding generations? Are you familiar with genetically linked health problems like PSS, LCP, luxating patellas, etc...? Are these dogs shining examples of the standard that you are trying to reproduce , or are we just adding to the pet population? I am disturbed by so many posts, not neccesarily this one, that seem to be fostering the backyard breeder and quibbling over details like stud fees, when the BIG PICTURE gets overlooked. I am not trying to be mean or snobby, I just love yorkshires and admire the breed originators who made it ther lives work to produce excellent specimens as examples for us to carry on. jmo

Wow, I couldn't have said it any better. I've only been on this forum for a few days now and I'm disturbed at all of the byb's I'm seeing around here. People breeding when they have NO CLUE as to what they're doing
