Hello and welcome to YT . I agree that 5 weeks is way to young to be separated from its mother. I think 12 weeks is a perfect age. I got both of mine at 8 weeks and they did very well. A free Yorkie thats great and sense your not planning on breeding then the papers are not that important, If the lady was offering it to me Id take it too. I would ask her to keep it a few more weeks , If shes not willing to do that then I would go ahead and take her, b/C shes just going to end up in some one elses hands. I think Male Yorkies are harder to potty train , My male was My female was trained in a matter of weeks, My male it took a lot longer. And I agree with the others , yorkies are wonderful pets. I wish you luck with your new puppie and I hope that The Yorkie and your other pets become the best of buds. |
