Thanks to everyone for their kind and informative replies! This really is a great site but sadly I have bad news...I was told by my "friend" that I would have 2-3 days or longer to decide if I wanted the puppy for sure, but just found out tonight that she already gave the puppy to someone else because her own dog {the father of this pup} was trying to hurt it.
There were other factors to this story that I didn't disclose...one being that this puppy was very much wanted by my daughter who's boyfriend is about to enter bootcamp very soon and she wanted the puppy to keep her company and to have something to love and care for. Also that my daughter leaves for college next year around this time so then the dog would become my full responsibility.
After a lot of soul searching and thought, my husband and I both decided to give it a try {daughter is out of town this week} just this evening and that is when I found out the bad {and most confusing!} news!! I am still not sure why I was not at least called and informed what was going on...abit hurt and angry and upset that I have to tell my daughter, but then again, maybe it was not meant to be.
Anyways, sorry this is so long but I have been mulling over it for the last couple hours and just needed to vent. I am going to go hug my parrot now, but thanks so much to everyone who took the time to reply to my post. |
