1. When your Yorkie was Franklin's age (about 12 weeks), how many times did you feed him/her a day? Or did you free-feed?
2. During said feedings, how much did you give him/her (for instance, 1 cup)?
3. Did you use both dry and wet food? Do you prefer either one or a combination of both?
4. What dog food (brand) do you use?
5. What should I use as far as treats for training?
Any other comments/advice you have for a first time Yorkie owner would be VERY welcome! I'm excited to become part of the YT family!

First off Welcome to YT...you will find a wealth of information here
I also got my baby when she was 12 weeks old...(back in April 07)
I kept her on the food that her breeder had her on till September (make sure you check with your breeder on what his schedule was like and try to stick as closely to that as possible...remember it's a big transaction going from mom/siblings to a brand new enviroment and he will need time to adjust....With my lil one I slowly switched her to Natural Balance Organic at about 7/8 months and she loves it...she was previously on Eukanuba
(which I have read isn't the best of foods for our lil ones). She has always been free fed and is one that likes to work for her food...so I keep kibble for her in her dog dish, but also have it in her everlasting treat ball, or an empty water bottle....and in her Krackle Jax (which you can get here on YT, just search for Kackle Jax and look for Amber_Iv) She eats about 1/2 - 3/4 cups a day....and weighs in at a healthy 6/7 lbs now.....
As far as treats for training.......I can't say enough about the Yorkie Yummies that Chattiesmom makes here on YT, they are perfect size for training treats.....or honey/honeynut cherrios...that is about all we use..
I can imagine your excitement on becoming a new yorkie parent...you will find that they very quickly attach to your heartstrings and will become an everlasting part of your life..soooooooo definately enjoy every moment with them......ohhhhhhhhh and take lots of pictures........we all love to see pictures of our babies..........
