At the vet's office that I work for, we start checking their teeth after their last vaccine. As soon as all the baby teeth are out, we schedule the OHE or neuter. Sometimes, with the little ones we will wait a little longer to see if they will fall out on their own, if they haven't then we still try to do it before they turn 7 months. For a female, you want to make sure to get it done before they have their first heat cycle. |
