So, I have finally picked out a breeder and I went to look at her puppies today. I chose an adorable 12 week old male that will be coming home with me in 11 days (once I get back to my apartment at school). I'm beyond thrilled and will keep you all updated (with pictures!).

So.. before I bring little Franklin home, I wanted to make sure I knew as much as possible and had everything ready before he got here. I've browsed YT extensively and tried to gather as much information as possible. However, I haven't found a thread with exactly the information I want, so I'm giving this one a try. Hopefully you veterans aren't too tired with newbie questions!

If you don't mind, please answer the following questions:

1. When your Yorkie was Franklin's age (about 12 weeks), how many times did you feed him/her a day? Or did you free-feed?

2. During said feedings, how much did you give him/her (for instance, 1 cup)?

3. Did you use both dry and wet food? Do you prefer either one or a combination of both?

4. What dog food (brand) do you use?

5. What should I use as far as treats for training?

Any other comments/advice you have for a first time Yorkie owner would be VERY welcome! I'm excited to become part of the YT family!
