Not too far. Some of us feel we are getting cheated when WE PAY for our "kids" to be shoved under a seat while the screaming child in front of us just smacked us for the third time with a flying bottle. Venting is good. Most of the kids don't look in pain to me. We are either still on the tarmack or been up in the air for an hour when they really let go and MOM AND DAD ARE OBLIVIOUS. I have received more nasty looks and comments about the dogs in the bags THAT I PAID FOR, than bad mom and dad get for IGNORING their probs. Shew. The parents truly trying to alleviate the prob, get my understanding. The ones that sit there and put ipod buds in and IGNORE, well they get something else. But I am always chided on bringing pups aboard. And I pay extra.
