I just wanted to let you know to keep your chin up. Your baby can do fine and live a long life even with diabetes. I had my cairn terrier for 15 years before she was diagnosed with diabetes. She had to be given shots every day. That terrified me. I HATE shots and had a hard time even watching someone get one on TV. So it was hard for me to do it. But my vet taught me what to do and how to regulate her. Sometimes when I gave her the shot, she would yelp and I would sit down and cry. I so didn't want to hurt her. But she did fine. I had her another year and a half til she was well over 16 years old. I loved her so much and it about did me in when I lost her, but I know that she was happy right up til the end. As long as the diabetes was kept under control, she was her same ole puppy self even at that age. It will be fine.. just remember you have to do what you have to do to keep your baby healthy and happy.
