Good for you. Life is definitely too short, particularly if you have other means.
I did know that men metabloize alcohol faster than women, but was unaware of the faster absorption before your period. Did you also know that if you have one drink and then drive even 4 hours later, you will still blow an alcohol level rating - and the charge will be the same as if you were at the legal limit?!! Just something to think about.....
