Yorkie has tonsilitis and won't eat...worried Our little Gracie woke me up at 4am hacking and coughing. It was bad enough we ended up calling the after hours number. They were able to work her in this morning. Found out has tonsilitis. She was given shot and then prescription of amoxicillian to take every 12 hours and a cough medicine to take every 2 hours as needed not to exceed 6 times per day. Gracie would not take the eye dropper with medicine. She ended up licking it off my fingers. The only way I could get her to take it. She looks very sickly and tired. I can see it in her eyes. She just lays at my feet and does not want to come to me when I go to get her to pick her up. She has not ate anything all day. I am concerned about her not eating...hypoclycemic(probably spelled wrong. Afraid she will get this. I tried giving her fresh soft dog food, that she loves. I tried yogurt. Is there something I could try that is good for her? What do I give her if she won't eat to prevent the hypoclycemia?
