I agree. I think that's what the majority of us do. The time to do it is now, while she is a puppy. That way you can build up a nice sum of money if she develops any problems as she gets older.

Insurance doesn't cover so much, plus I've heard if you do have a sizable claim, they won't renew you, so all the money you've invested is wasted.
