Hello. I'm new here, too, and I can tell you I've found a lot of helpful info here. We got our puppy Jack when he was 6 weeks old and house training was pretty crazy. At first, we took him out about every half hour. We didn't wait for signs that he needed to go, we just took him out. He didn't know how to tell us yet. So we'd take him to the door, say things like "you want to go outside" then once we were out tell him to "do your business." After a week or two we were taking him out every hour. Also every time he woke up from a nap. Finally he learned to go to the door to let us know, and we have a bell on the floor by the door that he's learning to ring when he needs to go out. He's four months now and he still has an accident sometimes, but nothing like those first few weeks. We just had to keep working with him and wait for him to learn how to hold it (those first couple of weeks he would frequently pee just a few drops here and there, as if his body didn't know he could hold it for a while) and for his little bladder to get big enough to hold more. Good luck!
