How long did it take to Toilet train your dog? Maggie took about 2 months for total training and she goes on pee pds and outside but she had a refresher course after she had her pups, Leo and Dante they are totally trained and have been sonce they were 12 weeks, they are 5 months now
How long did it take to Train your dog the basics? Maggie about 3 months, the boys are still learning

Does your dog know any tricks? give kisses, taking a treat out of my mouth nicely, repetition

How long did it take to get your dog used to being brushed? right away, I find that if you talk to them they are more willing to stay still. Maggie will fall asleep now when I brush her
How long did it take to train your dog to walk on the lead?
Not long at all for Maggie the boys we are still working on. They begin their training in January. they just got neutered so training is on hold.
How long did it take to stop your dog from biting?
Where does your dog sleep, bed or cage? They all sleep on the bed. but the boys will sleep in a carrier also
Do you groom the dog yourself or take it to a Groomers? maggie has been to the groomers once. Now I do it myself.
How long does the hair take to grow, long time or short time? maggie's hair has seemed to take awhile but I had her shaved down at 8 months old and she has hair halfway to the ground. Leo has a slow growing coat and Dante has a thick coat but it is slow growing also.
How often do you feed your dog per day? They get their morning moist meal with kelp powder and then they have their dry kibble they free feed from
What food do you feed your dog? Natural balance food roll in the AM and the organic dry kibble.
What is your dogs favourite treats? Bully sticks or the natural balance treat roll.
What is your dogs favourite toys? anything with squeekers in them and the hard plastic toys they like to chew.
Does your dog need a coat to wear when outdoors walking?
(Proper dog coat, not just for fashion) Yes definitely in the fall and winter. I make fleece hoodies for them so they are warm and stylish on our walks.
How often and how long do you walk your dog? I usually let them run laps in the back yard since it is pretty big but my new year resolution is to take them fro walks at least once a week.
Any other advice? Like everyone has already said about the shots and the collars. I want to add also that you should puppy proof your home. Get on your hands and knees and go around the house. Anything within your sight move if it's chewable. Buy some bitter apple spray and spray anything that is ground and puppy level. |
