Wylie had ear probs before he was diagnosed w/ an infection. My vet didn't even bother to figure out WHAT it was - she just said "let's treat for everything that could be in his ear" - so we did a presription ointment for a week.
One cleaner I did like was from Petsmart - and it contains aloe - so it not only cleans the ear but also soothes it, which is nice.
