I would advise you that Benji needs to sleep in his own bed (crate) and not on your bed. When I brought my puppy home I began his routine at night, as the breeder recommended. Never having a YT before I was nervous that I would not know what to do! I could not believe that my husband and I were acting like we did not know how to go about training our new pup, especially since we had dogs for over thirty years!
But, we were right in heeding advice. The Yorkie is a smart little guy. Training is very important for every dog even if they are so cute and little. Remi sleeps in his crate next to the bed with a towel over it (spaces left for air of course). He is happy and content and sleeps the night. In fact, I can stay up and watch TV or read in bed, or not be in bed the same time that he is retired for the night.

I believe that dominance may be an issue too and through obedience training classes I am hoping that my little Remi will learn who is boss ( I hope)!

Lots of good luck and have a very Merry Christmas!
