A couple of years ago I started cutting up baloons and using them on their feet in nasty icey weather to protect agains the eliments and rock salt. I liked the idea so much that I then started using socks under the baloons to give some warmth. My little guy (I use them mostly on him cause GiGi will go indoors in real bad weather) is used to them and even liked them when I first used them. I have just ordered from "in the company of dogs" a set of red rubber boots that look a little thicker than the baloons and a little easier to get on. Have to se how they fit yet. They come in 12 boots per pack and cost 19.99 and then of course shipping.

But YES I do like the idea of giving them some warmth and protection in bad weather...and I think these rubber boots will be good in the summer for heavy rain also.
