This is the first yr for Deiter to wear them, Cozmo also wears them. When I had a hard time also. Just have to get the velcro really tight around there little paws. They still try and shake them off. I put them on in the house to try and get them use to them, it took awhile but finally they didn't mind them, beings they knew i was going to take them off. I love ours and they work great. Takes a little time to put them on so they stay. Good luck
