Since I just got back from my first plane trip with Teddi I thought I would let everyone know that I booked her flight ahead of time but you can't pay until you get to the airport and I went to the counter and told them I had a dog and paid. They did not weigh anything...they did not even look in the bag. When you go through security you have to take them out but they don't car about anything either. On the plane I don't think anyone even knew she was with me. I kept her in her carrier under the seat the whole time on all 4 planes but they didn't even look at her ticket or anything (although I would have been stressed out if I didn't buy a ticket). I did not get a health certificate but I did bring her shot records but no one asked for anything. I flew US Airways. I have heard that sometimes United lets you take them out of the carrier. And for those of you that are worried about your dog making noise when flying, I was worried about that too but she only made a few little noises while we were sitting there but once we too off she was completely quiet. I think it is actually calming to her, like riding in the car, and she just fell right to sleep.
