so i just wrote a post in another thread, but i am so very excited, i just need to talk about this! (and what better place than here! lol)
I own(ed) my own business that me and my fiancé built from the ground up. it has been a HUGE struggle. first i was working for another company that treated me like "poop" and didnt pay me what i deserved for running the business completely. so my wonderful fiancé decided to help me start up my own business and tell my old boss to "mess off" (
) when i quit my job and started the new business i was diagnosed with cancer. we caught it very early and with some surgery i am happy to say i have been cancer free for 1 year and 4 months now
but needless to say, trying to run a business and being in and out of surgery is a difficult thing to so. i also haemorrhaged after one of my surgeries and almost bled to death, but my fiancé stuck by me and helped me keep up the business.
the business has now expanded to the point where i am no longer able to handle the volume we are pulling in. i have been stressed out for the past year trying to keep up and have been working 12 - 16 hour days! it finally has gotten to the point where i felt it would be better managed by someone with more experience to help it reach its full potential. we had a meeting last night and closed a deal to sell the company while keeping a share and % of the profit. basically now we just sit back and money come in without having to do very much work!! it feels sooo good. normally at night time i cant sleep because im planning my day and everything i need to do for the business the next day but last night, i slept like a baby!
its so rewarding after working so hard and actually having this succeed, grow and pay off. this company has been like my baby, but now that i have sold it, i can concentrate on my real babies...my little yorkie dexter and kitty tommy! lol. im happy, healthy and am on cloud 9 right now!
